- Use organoids — three-dimensional tumor models created in the lab using patients’ cells — to better understand how a person’s cancer responds to various therapeutic agents and determine a personalized treatment plan.

- Analyze and develop therapies for cachexia, or body wasting, that late-stage cancer patients experience, which can lead to a higher rate of mortality.
